That’s right…you did read that right. I was out photographing our daughter one evening and we were walking down the sidewalk. It was freezing and it was starting to rain when we saw this…

Do you ever happen upon things in life and just wonder…”IS this REAL?” Well, I had one of those moments. The kidlet says “Who in the WORLD, would put a bowling ball on a STICK and have it in a garden!!!!?” She found this to be one of the most entertaining things for awhile! Squinting my eyes, to get a closer look and to make sure I was NOT imagining this. I took a quick pic…I tossed my head back and we laughed, because REALLY, the bowling ball on a stick, deserves a good laugh. I then said “Well babe, I guess these people do!” It’s been an interesting topic for us a few times now…WOW! Because life comes with no guarantees & who couldn’t use a good laugh now and again! I wish I could hug these people! Happy Friday peeps!

A little off the wall…

With the busy few weeks that we’ve had. We’ve taken the last few days to just enjoy each others company. Played some Yahtzee, some Rockband and went out on a lunch date today! The weather is rainy and gloomy! I can’t wait for this weekend! They are promising warm 65 degree weather. I will be waiting impatiently to see if they are right this time.

Looks like I need a pair of running shorts! Warm weather and all it seems appropriate. It’s amazing that all this new material, really makes the experience that much easier. However, I may cause a few car accidents as my legs could act as reflectors! They are CASPER WHITE! Also, I have a long lasting love affair with Adidas. However, I might just slip my foot into a Nike here soon and see how it feels. After all…that new ipod chip is pretty killer! But it makes me feel SO bad. Maybe Adidas won’t notice! ;P So there’s a few of my off the wall ramblings…

To Cool for School…

This last week we had the honor of chaperoning our daughter’s 5th grade Outdoor School. It was an experience we will NEVER forget. Some parent’s taught classes, some parent’s helped out where needed. We were definitely a united front! How could you not be with 70 5th graders!? Chris and I were asked to do the photography as “our job”. It was AWESOME! New friendships were forged, many laughs were shared and many good memories were made. Here are a few snapshots of us on our trip! Happy Monday!

Bring on the Vitamin D!

Another “Eeyore” kind of day here, as a friend would put it. However we are looking forward to our upcoming weddings in May! This time of year gets a bit hard to deal with as an Oregonian because we are all starved for a bit of that vitamin D! Any place tropical sounds about the most delightful destination. Here is a picture I took of our kidlet last Spring. It sure warms my heart and makes my day a little brighter! Happy Wednesday friends!

Margaritaville…or somewhere warm!

It’s another drizzly, wish you were somewhere a heck of A LOT warmer than here kind of day! We are really hoping, that that sun will peek out at us soon and warm our skin. It’s about this time of year I think all Oregonians should take a vacay somewhere warm. We’ve been yawning and feeling overall groggy, for two days now & I blame the weather. ALL my life, I’ve dreamed of living somewhere warm. Blue waters as far as the eye can see, flip flops and some good Iced Tea or a Margarita…Now I’m beginning to sound like a Kenny Chesney song! So I guess we will sit here and keep dreaming up that vacation…because one day we will be able to take it!

Pancakes

Yesterday morning, I made pancakes and eggs. I had a happy little camper because I have found this is one of her favorite foods. She thinks I make the BEST pancakes. I think that Bisquick does a fantastic job of making ME look good! (Thank you Betty Crocker) Last night at tuck in, I get the questioning voice “Hey Mom” I say “What’s up?” she says “Do you think WE could eat pancakes again in the morning?” I say “Sure. I don’t mind making pancakes for my favorite person in the world.” I smiled and kissed her goodnight. She went to bed and was dreaming of “BIG pancake houses”. This morning we sat quietly and had more pancakes. I’m glad I can make her happy with pancakes right now.

Today we will be working more on our new website (check back often!) it totally ROCKS! Going to pay a visit and have lunch with a wonderful friend. I lucked upon one of the greatest friends last April. They were Chris’s “clients”…*cough* she is now one of my best friends. You can look back on Jessica’s wedding here. She was a beautiful bride and is just a beautiful person, with a great heart. So here’s to a good day! I hope you get your fill of “pancakes” today!
