We had a great time shooting with Emily a couple of weeks back and got some great images of her! JD met Emily while doing makeup for the Newberg Dance Team this past season and really connected with her as well as many of the other girls. Needless to say we were pretty excited when Emily booked a Senior Portrait Session with us! Emily loves nature and the outdoors so we started her session in Hoover Park near downtown Newberg. There is some really cool stuff down there to shoot around – a creek, a few bridges, a clump of trees that are fused together, flowers, rock walls, etc. This was the important part to Emily so we spent a bunch of time there and got a good variety of shots.
After the park we decided to head a few blocks over into downtown Newberg to an area JD and I had scouted out for some urban shots. I have to say, the more I shoot around Newberg, the more I love it. So many colors, textures, and cool buildings to shoot around! We had a bunch of fun walking around getting some great shots.
Emily, it was a pleasure getting to know you. JD and I think you are super cool and had a ton of fun hanging out with you. You were such a trooper shooting in the less than ideal conditions too (it was actually cold and extremely windy that day. We had to wrap Emily in a blanket between sets because she was freezing!).
